Getting There
Closest International Airport: Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR)
Getting to El Establo is relatively easy. A more affordable option is to take a shared shuttle from Liberia or San Jose. Be aware that shared shuttles will mostly likely make stops along the way. For faster travel you can opt for a private shuttle. If you’re coming from San Jose, budget $200-400 for a private shuttle. For the fastest and most convenient option, you can also rent a car from the airport when you arrive. You will take the Interamerica Highway and drive through San Ramon towards Liberia to get to Monteverde.
