A two or three-day visit is recommended to get the most out of your visit to this stunning area. This rugged Caribbean beach has strong waves and dark sand as well as stunning views. There are many activities available including visits to the Tortuguero National Park canals. The village of Tortuguero, and the Turtle Museum of the Caribbean Conservation Corporation. Guided night walks to watch green sea turtles as they come by the hundreds to lay their eggs on the local beaches are available from July to September. Fishing trips, kayaking tours, canoeing, and river safaris are also great ways to explore the enchanting wilderness of Tortuguero!
