Activities And Exploration Of Tiskita Jungle Lodge
There are so many things to do and to discover in Tiskita Jungle Lodge. The owners, Lisbeth and Peter Aspinall, started this project in 1978 when they built a home and started replanting trees. Today the area counts with more than 275 species of birds, unaccountable species of mammals, and over 125 species of tropical fruits.
For visitors, this is an incredible opportunity to experience the real tropical rainforest and to spend time on some deserted pristine beaches. There are also many tours to do, and you will be invited to go horseback riding, ocean fishing, bird and animal watching, whale watching, hiking and go on a guided walk, visit Pavones, Matapalo and the Osa Peninsula, get a massage or take a yoga class, go snorkeling and enjoy the tide pools, and finally you will be able to relax on the wildest and most beautiful beach you have ever seen.

The exotic lodgings of Tiskita Jungle Lodge come enveloped in the tropical plush beauty of flora and fauna and of the fruit trees, set a good distance apart from each other for more privacy and peace. They are all made of precious local wood such as rosewood, mahogany, and purpleheart, trees that have fallen, as nothing was ever cut! The windows come screened, as it should in this area, and this allows the breeze from the ocean to blow in.
They are equipped with hot showers and have lovely hammocks on the balconies and porches from where you may relax while watching the flamboyant sunsets over the Pacific Ocean and the magnificent Osa Peninsula. The cabins are suitable for larger families or just couples. You will find the swimming pool to be magical as you can watch the macaws fly above you while you enjoy a nice sunset drink! The meals are prepared with fresh local ingredients, and you will try lots of fresh fish, fruits and locally raised beef and poultry. Finally, the drinking water’s taken from a local spring, chlorine free and filtered.

Tiskita Jungle Lodge is the perfect haven for getting away from the maddening crowd and getting back in touch with nature. Lodged as remotely as can be and only the birds or the monkeys may disturb your sleep! The best way to reach Tiskita is by catching a plane to Golfito. Then from there you catch a taxi to the lodge. You may also if you wish to catch a charter flight in Golfito. It will take you directly to the lodge as you land on their private strip. Indeed grab a charter flight from San Jose directly to the lodge.
You may, of course, drive all the way, if you have time. This would be the most extraordinary journey of your life. You would pass through some of the most incredible regions of Costa Rica; what an adventure! As the arrive you will be taken aback by the whole beauty of the place.
