Caribbean Dream Extended Stay Day to Day Itinerary

Did you see our Caribbean Dream and Manuel Antonio Package and think; that is so amazing! But I want more… Especially for you, here is our extended package!

Costa Rica’s Caribbean Coast is a fun and colorful part of the country. The Tico culture is replaced by an Afro-Caribbean vibe that offers an intoxicating mix between reggae and a Costa Rican flavor. Like the basic package, you will visit Puerto Viejo and Tortuguero, but the charming and stunning Cahuita is added to your east coast trip.

But the adventure doesn’t end here… From the Province of Limon, you will head west to the iconic Arenal. Some more destinations are added to your list and Monteverde as well as the hypnotically beautiful Rio Celeste will be added to your schedule. The trip will end, like the last one, in Manuel Antonio National Park. Ready? Let’s go!

Day 1:

On your extended trip to Costa Rica, we will start it off by meeting you at the airport. We will hand you a custom welcome package to help guide you through the adventure trip. Meet your shuttle, and they will take you to your first location in San Jose at Holiday Inn Aurola! Welcome!!

Day 2:

For the next day, you will meet another transfer and be on your way to Puerto Viejo in the southern Caribbean. There you will check into Villas del Caribe. You will be staying here for the next three nights. Visit Playa Cocles! This charming Caribbean beach is bound to both entice and relax you.

Day 3:

Today we are going to combine education with fun and take a tour through the Jaguar Rescue Center . You will see all kinds of different wildlife including toucans, monkeys and sloths. The rescue center has been built with a mission to conserve and protect its natural heritage by housing and rehabilitating wounded, orphaned and even confiscated animals. Afterwards, you will take a delicious tour of the Chocolate House and end your day with a refreshing swim in the waterfall.

Day 4:

Day number 4 is here! Today we will take a hike in Cahuita. Explore the local community, walk along the stunning beaches and spot wildlife such as snakes, sloths, monkeys, butterflies and many different bird species.

Day 5 – 7:

Now we will make our way up to Tortuguero. You will stay in Mawamba Lodge for your trip to this remote side of the Caribbean region. You will love the profound beauty of each part in Tortuguero from the lush landscape to the pristine canals full of life! Upon arrival, you will get a tour of the charming town of Tortuguero and learn all about the local community.

The next day you will explore Tortuguero on your guided tour of the canals. Experience all the knowledge of the guide as they explain about each and every thing you see on your journey. Prepare to see species of birds as well as crocodiles, caimans and of course turtles.

Day 8:

Day 9 announces a departure in the whole other direction! Let’s head to Arenal! Famous for its hot springs, hanging bridges and waterfall! The conical beauty towering over la Fortuna. When you arrive at Arenal, you will check into Los Lagos Resort. This peaceful resort will relax you and prepare you for the next day. Your adventures in the sky!

Day 9:

Experience a truly thrilling experience during the Sky Trek and Sky Tram tour. Being up this high in the jungle canopy is exhilarating. Speeding through the forest to meet at the next base only to be swung off again to your next line. The next tour is equally as fun but in a different way. The Sky Tram allows you to move a slower pace up the mountainside to see as much of the flora and fauna as you can. Hop on!

Day 10:

Today we head out and transfer you down to Monteverde. Monteverde is a national park that holds the majority of the cloud forests in Costa Rica. You will see a different kind of jungle here – one that is untamed and pushes to grow in every direction. When you arrive at this gorgeous place, you will be staying at the Trapp Family Lodge where you can find some well deserved rest. Before you do, though, you will take the El Trapiche Coffee Tour! Learn all about how the coffee in this region is made and make sure to taste the delicious, full flavors afterward.

Day 11:

Spend a day exploring the Cloud Forest Reserve in Monteverde on the Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve Hike! This magical place will invite the spirit of adventure. You can take guided tours following trails all over the park and observe raw nature and its passionate desire to grow. A frequent visitor to this natural palace is the Resplendent Quetzal!

Day 12:

It is day 14 and we are heading to our final destination, Manuel Antonio. Some of Costa Rica’s best beaches are located right here as well as the Manuel Antonio National Park. Once you have arrived, you will stay at Hotel Karahe. Catch your breath for tomorrow!

Day 13-14:

Take a guided tour through the Manuel Antonio, National Park. Make sure to keep your eye out for monkeys, sloths, coatis and so many other animals. You will notice that even though this park is one of the smaller ones in Costa Rica, it is teeming with life!

The next day, you will take a relaxing luxury sunset cruise on the Marlin Del Rey. The perfect way to end a trip!

Day 15:

It is time to head back to the Hampton Inn. We hope you enjoyed visit to Costa Rica and are looking to travel again soon. During your last night you can reflect on everything you have experienced and spend some time in San Jose. Go out for a splendid dinner at Barrio Escalante and have a great night!

Day 16:

We will drive you to the SJO Airport where you will catch your flight back home. But don’t worry. We know it is only bye for now! Visit Costa Rica again soon!
