Hacienda La Pacífica sits beside the Interamericana highway near Cañas, between the Corobicí and Tenorio rivers, in the heart of Guanacaste's cattle country. It is about 45 minutes from the Liberia airport and 2.5 hours from the San José airport. It suits families and couples on their way to the volcanoes or the coast who want a quiet night on a real farm.

Rooms and views

The Standard rooms have a double bed and a single bed. The Junior Suites add room, with a double and two singles, and the Suites have a king bed and a single. For a bigger party, the Deluxe Villa Pacífica has four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The rooms look out over the open, wild landscape of the farm, with the pool and the restaurant close by.

On the property

La Pacífica restaurant serves typical Costa Rican food, and the Sabanero bar takes its name from the sabaneros, the cowboys of Guanacaste. The Terraza Miravalles is an open terrace for a drink in the evening, when the heat of the day finally breaks.

The hacienda also has event halls for weddings and reunions, and trails around the property for walking, riding and mountain biking.

Location and getting there

The hacienda is near Cañas, in Guanacaste, about 45 minutes from the Liberia airport. From here we arrange rafting on the Corobicí, horseback riding, and days at Tenorio and Miravalles volcanoes, and the Pacific beaches are within reach.
