Economic, social and environmental development – that’s the way of life for the Reserva Conchal. Therefore they created the Department for Community Relations and the Environment in 2003 to facilitate the high standards of environmental protection in and around Reserva Conchal. This Department initiates programs, such as the Corporate Social Responsibility Program to support and protect suppliers, communities, public politics, governability and the environment. In the Reserva Conchal nursery they planted 15,000 trees during the last ten years to enhance and preserve the natural development of endemic species. Besides that, Reserva Conchal produces Bokashi, its own organic fertilizer to maintain the nursery. This is achieved by reusing all the organic waste, which adds up to 45 tons per month!
