Costa Rica has several particular Regions that are great for Birding. For example, the Osa Peninsula where you will find the Scarlet Macaw as a common resident. San Gerardo De Dota is a gorgeous region and includes the Resplendent Quetzal. In the Northern zone is the Caño Negro Reserve. Also, closer to San Jose Turrialba hold many beautiful Species. Although where ever you go be sure to look at the trees and the skies. Costa Rica has six endemic and many on the verge. Also, 62 species not common or accidental and 4 introduced. The rest are resident species or severally endangered.
