Hotel Playa Negra means, of course, black beach. This is probably the nicest black beach of this country, and it goes without saying. The hotel is also one of the most beautiful Hotels in Costa Rica! This hotel closed in a 1000 acre Finca that is owned by a family who runs an experimental project growing organic fruit and vegetables, and they also have an eggs production farm. The property is quite beautiful and untouched and mostly covered with secondary dry tropical forest. This farm is under protection for the conservation of flora and fauna. Also, one of the most stunning regions of Costa Rica! The hotel, restaurant, pool, and bar have very stylish designs to give its guests enjoyment, relaxation, fun, and comfort.
This hotel provides an exciting array of activities and entertainment so that you can make the most of your stay in Costa Rica. In the hotel’s ground, you will enjoy spending time swimming and sunbathing by the magnificent ocean front pool, or you may prefer to play Volley Ball on the beach in front of the hotel. You could indulge in the spa and get a relaxing massage, or participate in Yoga classes. Also, there is body surfing at the beach, or you may prefer to swim. Go on a fishing tour or a Mountain Biking tour. Take advantage of some of the Tours of Guanacaste! The hotel also offers surf lessons and boogie and surfboards are available for rent at the surf shop. Truly never a dull moment at the Hotel Playa Negra.
The Hotel Playa Negra has ten lovely brightly painted Bungalows, beautifully equipped with one queen size and two single beds, and seven Suite-Bungalows, slightly larger with one king size and two single beds. Apart from their size, the Bungalow Suites differ from the Bungalows because of their privacy and comfort. They have a large deck where inviting hammocks are waiting for you. All the bungalows are set within the exotic tropical gardens. Quite close to the beach with easy access to the pool and the restaurant.
The roof of the bungalows are traditionally made of palm leaves, and people refer to them as ranchos. The bungalows have a great design for the climate allowing plenty of sea breeze to blow through them. The restaurant and the bar are right on the beach, what can be more exotic! They serve non-stop international cuisine, as well as traditional Guanacaste food between 7, am and 9 pm; rice and beans called Gallo Pinto, salads, fruit plates, fresh lobster, fresh fish and more.
The contrast of the gray, golden sand against the turquoise water is quite amazing. The Hotel Playa Negra is also convenient for its location being no more than 40 minutes away from the famous beach and town of Tamarindo. With its incredible array of restaurants, lounges, bars, shops and of course, great surfing. It has an inviting, happy and friendly atmosphere and its bungalows give it an irresistible exotic island look. Above all, a special choice for your lovely holiday on a tropical beach, Pura Vida, Playa Negra!
