The owners of the Tree House Lodge Costa Rica, have created a unique property, with a luxurious design unlike any other hotel in Costa Rica. When the owners first acquired the property, they reforested the property with indigenous flora and wildlife naturally followed. The Lodge includes 5 distinctive accommodations: The Beach House is 80 meters from the shores of Punta Uva and has fantastic ocean views from a private veranda. The house has a thatched dome roof and rattan walls and features a beautifully crafted wooden spiral staircase. The Beach Suite has an ultra modern look, with bold colors and shape. It’s ideal for a group of friends or a family due to its three double bedrooms, and two bathrooms. There is also a double shower and a huge Jacuzzi bath in this house! The Tree House set on stilts, with a sloped wood suspension bridge that leads you up in the treetops to the front door. With two stories, there’s plenty of room for a family, but it’s also very romantic and private for a great honeymoon in Costa Rica.
The Garden House a bamboo structure with a pointed roof that looks like grand playhouse, and has 2 double bedrooms. It also had the added luxury of an outdoor hot tub. The Crystal House designed with rustic recycled art and its centerpiece is a Sangrillo tree. It has two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. The downstairs bedroom’s equipped with A/C and 2 queen size beds. The upstairs bedroom has a king bed and ceiling fan. Outside you’ll find mini golf green, a wood fueled hot tub and a barbecue. All the cottages have full kitchens.
They donate profits from the hotel to help maintain the Green Iguana Foundation. The Green Iguana Foundation or “Iguanaverde” helps to protect these creatures via disseminating information and establishing a natural preserve. They use profits from your stay at Tree House Lodge Costa Rica to further this great cause.
They built the lodge to maintain the utmost of sustainability in mind. All the buildings were constructed using fallen wood found on the property. Also, the roof’s made of recycled materials and the villas use natural light or solar electricity. Further, Tree House Lodge Costa Rica belongs to several associations that benefit the infrastructure, culture, education, health, and environmental protection of the local community.
Proximity to great beaches! The lodge located on 10 acres of oceanfront property on Punta Uva, just south of Puerto Viejo in the province of Limon. The beach spans 300 meters along the front of the property! Relax on the amazing beaches of Playa Chiquita or Punta Uva and enjoy the calm, warm Caribbean waters.
Explore the aquatic wonders of Cahuita National Park. The glass fiber boat led by an expert captain and guide will introduce you to 35 different coral species such as the fire coral, Elkhorn and the Smooth brain coral, 123 different species of tropical fish such as the Queen Angelfish and the Blue Parrotfish, 44 species of crustaceans, 140 shellfish and 128 identified algae. Other species living in the turquoise waters are sea urchins, sea cucumbers, lobsters, sponges, hawksbill turtles and green turtles. After your snorkeling adventure, you will return to Cahuita Point, where you can swim in the peaceful and warm Caribbean Sea or just have a refreshment of tropical fruits.

You will start in the community of Cahuita, cross beautiful beaches and observe various wildlife such as snakes, sloths, monkeys, anteaters, armadillos, raccoons, butterflies and many different bird species. Furthermore explore different medicinal plants, orchids, trees, ferns, vertebrates, invertebrates, sea and earth shellfish.
