Extended Nicoya Peninsula Adventure Day to Day Itinerary

The Nicoya Peninsula is a real Costa Rica treasure for those looking for the beautiful beaches like Nosara and Samara, unique national parks and thrilling adventures. Additionally, the Peninsula has been named one of the Blue Zones of the world. Health, relaxation and longevity combined with the eternal sunshine falling over this part of Guanacaste make Nicoya one of the top destinations of Costa Rica. Take a few detours and visit the iconic Arenal and the idyllic Monteverde. Spot wildlife like birds, monkeys like the white-faced capuchin and howler monkeys, sloths, enjoy a retreat into nature complete with rejuvenating spa treatments. This trip as it all! Day 1:

To start off your trip in the right way, we always personally meet you at the airport and hand deliver your welcome package. This helps you have a great start to your adventure vacation here in tropical paradise. Then we guide you to your private transportation to stay at the Grano de Oro Hotel. This hotel combines colonial splendor with unsurpassed luxury. Enjoy!


Day 2:

Day two starts off with your private transfer from San Jose to the popular destination of the Arenal Volcano where you will stay at Tabacon Resort and Spa. It features the famous Tabacón Hot Springs with spectacular nighttime views of the stunning volcano towering over the town of La Fortuna. Relax and enjoy yourself! You are sure to have a busy and thrilling next day. Before heading to Tabacon, however, we will stop off at the La Paz Waterfall Gardens where you can spot sloths, jaguars and many more in the animal sanctuary. You will also see hundreds of butterflies and hummingbirds!


Day 3:

Day 3 will perhaps be your favorite day! The Sky Trek tour is a thrilling zip line circuit. This is the most thrilling zip line in the country with 7 zip lines, the longest cable nearly 2500 feet long and over 650 feet high.

The Sky Tram takes you on a smooth gondola ride through the rainforest. This 1-hour tour is perfect for people who prefer to admire nature on a relaxed, comfortable ride. Witness the rainforest’s extraordinary bounty with ease. A bilingual guide will point out different characteristics of the rich flora and fauna while the tram travels up the mountains to arrive on a wide observation platform. What an experience!


Day 4:

On day four a Taxi-Boat-Taxi will transfer you from Arenal to Monteverde where the El Trapiche tour takes place. Walk around the farm learning about how to make coffee. Firstly, pick your own beans and watch it be turned into a delicious brew before your eyes. You will stay at El Establo Mountain Hotel.


Day 5:

Start your day without the crowds as you explore the boundless jungle forest at the Santa Elena. Discover the natural wonders that the cloud forest has to offer, including a huge variety of Flora and Fauna, and the elusive Quetzal. This is one of the most beautiful birds in Costa Rica! You can take self-guided tours through the forest and observe nature at its most fertile and most wild.


Day 6 – 8:

Finally, your shuttle service from Monteverde to the coast of Tambor will arrive and you can enjoy yourself relaxing for the next days. Stay at Tango Mar, a luxury hotel and golf resort on Costa Rica’s pristine Nicoya Peninsula. Enjoy Tambor Beach and lay back! This time is all about you. Perhaps you would even like to take some surf lessons? You will enjoy your day of leisure as well as a day of snorkeling at Tortuga Island.
