Full Board Birding Trip Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: 

Arriving at the airport and after you go through customs and security, we will be waiting outside with a welcome package. Welcome to the best birding trip you will ever have. Once you are ready, we then show you to your shuttle and off to the hotel. You will be staying at Aurola Holiday Inn. Located very close to the center of San Jose and the perfect location to get your trip started.

Day 2 -3

Get up early today and feel refreshed from your plane ride as we are heading off again to your next destination. We transfer you to Tortuguero where you will stay a Laguna Lodge a peaceful little lodge perfect to lay back and relax after the transfers. It is located on a small strip of land surrounded by the canal of Tortuguero. Later on, you will take a tour of Tortuguero and see some amazing sight of animals through the canals systems. 

Day 4:

Today we are heading to San Gerardo by shuttle transfer to stay at Savegre Lodge. Use this stunning lodge as the basecamp for your birding explorations!  

Day 5:

Birding Tour-San Gerardo. Highlighted in the classic guide, “Fifty Places to go Birding Before You Die,” the valley of San Gerardo is a wonderful place to observe the more than 150 species that are found in the valley.

Day 6:

Quetzal Bird Tour The birding tour that you are looking for is here specifically to look for the famous Quetzal. A very rare bird apart of Costa Rica your sure to delight in joy if you see one. After the birding tour, we will take another shuttle, and we are off the next destination. Stay at the Rancho Corcovado a very beautiful place to when you are looking for all the rare birds. Corcovado holds some of the most diversity in the whole world.

Day 7:

Tour of Caño Island, On this tour you will take a boat ride out to the renowned Caño island. Full of diversity and sure to amaze you as you hike around the island.

Day 8:

On day eight now we will take a tour of Corcovado National Park. Corcovado is what National Geographic says the most biologically diverse place on the Planet that is a great title to hold especially if you want to find some of the rarest birds in all of Costa Rica.

Day 9:

Now it’s time to head back. Catch your nature air flight to San Jose and then your flight back home.
