In this package, we will introduce you to some of the options we have available for a romantic getaway in Arenal and then Tambor, a stunning beach at the Nicoya Peninsula, Guanacaste.
Day 1
Once you have arrived at the San Jose airport, our representative will be waiting outside of the airport when you arrive with a sign with your name on it. She will provide you with a welcome package that includes all the information you need for your vacation here in tropical paradise. They will get you to your transportation and your Costa Rica trip will begin. Take your private transfer and stay at the Hotel Grano de Oro. A romantic, colonial styled mansion at the heart of San Jose. Welcome to your first destination!
Day 2
Your Private Transfer from San Jose to Arenal will be ready for you! On the way you will stop off at the La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Other than the stunning waterfalls, you will spot birds, butterflies and jaguars! Once in Arenal, you will stay at Tabacon Resort & Spa. This resort and spa is located at the foot of Arenal, the most famous active volcano in Costa Rica, and features the indulgent Tabacón Hot Springs with spectacular views of the volcano. Guests can enjoy the Tabacon Grand Spa & Hot Springs and relax, spending the day in luxury. Arenal is famous for many other things including the La Fortuna Waterfall, the hanging bridges, white-water rafting and hiking.
Day 3
Today’s the day for two tours: Sky Trek & Tram. Both are a canopy tour with one focused on excitement and speed and the other one a quiet observation of Arenal’s natural wonders. The Sky Trek is a thrilling zip-line tour that’s located in both Monteverde and La Fortuna that lets you experience the forest from a bird’s eye. Your 2.5-hour tour starts riding in an open-air gondola from the ground to the heights of the canopy where you’ll be dropped off at an observation area for fantastic views. From the observation deck, you will fly through the treetops and across the canyons on zip lines, where you will eventually make it back to the main building. This is the most thrilling zip line in the country with 7 zip lines, the longest cable nearly 2500 feet long and over 650 feet high.
The Sky Tram takes you on a smooth gondola ride through the rainforest, offering up endless views during their mountainous ascent. This 1-hour tour is perfect for people who want to admire nature on a relaxed, comfortable ride. Witness the rainforest’s extraordinary bounty with ease. A bilingual guide will point out different characteristics of the rich flora and fauna while the tram travels up the mountains to arrive on a wide observation platform.
Day 4 – 8
Beach time! Catch your private transfer from Arenal to Tambor and stay at Tango Mar for the next couple of nights. This luxury hotel and golf resort on Costa Rica’s pristine Nicoya Peninsula caters to family travelers, honeymooners and adventure seekers. The hotel is conveniently located near some great sites and tours such as sports fishing, birding, rainforest tours, horseback riding and offers stellar ocean views. Take your pick! Next to your day of leisure, you will also enjoy a snorkeling tour exploring the underwater paradise that is Tortuga Island.
