Complete Costa Rica Extended Itinerary Day to Day
Day 1
Get ready for the time of your life on your Nature Tour. A representative will be waiting outside of the airport in San Jose Costa Rica when you arrive with a sign with your name on it. She will provide you with a welcome package. It includes all the information you need for your fun and adventurous stay in Costa Rica. They will get you to your transportation and your trip in Costa Rica will begin. Stay at Aurola Holiday Inn one of downtown San Jose’s most friendly centrally-located hotels, with a beautiful view of Morazán Park and the National Museum.
Day 2
Today you will beheading to Arenal and stopping off at the stunning La Paz Waterfall Gardens. The lush jungle, waterfalls, flowing white rivers, butterflies, birds, snakes, sloths, monkeys and jaguars are bound to leave you spellbound! Next you will be heading to Los Lagos Resort at the iconic Arenal. Enjoy!
Day 3
Test your bravery with the ziplining circuit here at Arenal. After the thrilling circuit, you will be able to slow it down a bit and enjoy spectacular views from the sky tram.
Day 4
The relaxing Float and Safari tour takes you on the beautiful Rio Peñas Blancas where you’re bound to spot a variety of wildlife. There are tropical birds such as Oropenolas, Tucans, Kingfishers, as well as monkeys, poison dart frogs, caimans, and much more!
Day 5
Now it is time to take your Taxi-Boat-Taxi transfer and check into the Trapp Family Lodge. The Trapp Family Hotel is a great choice for an unforgettable vacation in the lush green mountain of Monteverde and is the closest hotel to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. Surrounded by unbelievable flora and fauna, you will enjoy a visit to a genuine Costa Rica coffee plantation. The El Trapiche tour is a Costa Rican Family project that offers visitors a two hour long guided tour. Begin with a walk on the farm and learn about coffee and sugarcane production, traditional banana cultivation, macadamia nuts, arracacha, avocado and more.
Day 6
Have pleasant hike through the Santa Elena Cloud Forest. Perhaps you will even get a chance to spot the elusive Quetzal!
Day 7
Time to head to Tamarindo! Tamarindo is the most popular beach in Costa Rica and famous for its surf and its restaurants. Check into the Tamarindo Diria and relax!
Day 8
A free day in Tamarindo can mean two things. Shopping or surfing! With its consistent and low waves, Tamarindo is the perfect challenge for first time surfers. Alternatively, you can spend your day souvenir shopping in the popular beach town of Costa Rica!
Day 9
Your sailing and snorkeling tour sets sail in the afternoon and returns as the sun sets across the bay! Spot marine life while sailing to a tranquil bay where the catamaran will anchor and you will have the opportunity to go on a little snorkeling adventure! Enjoy a delicious lunch and sail back enjoying the sunset with an ice cold drink!
Day 10
Head from Tamarindo to Manuel Antonio! Manuel Antonio is known for having the most beautiful beach in the whole of Costa Rica! Check into Karahe, a beach front property that allows you to access these stunning beaches easily!
Day 11
You can’t visit Manuel Antonio without taking a hike through the national park! Spot birds, sloths, monkeys, and more in this small but very diverse little gem!
Day 12
Time to head back to San Jose and spend a final night at the Hampton Inn! We hop you enjoyed your Costa Rica vacation and will be back soon!
