Choose from several hiking trails that leave from the entrance of the park, some only taking 30 minutes, some taking a couple of hours. Solo hikes on the trails are permitted but you can also easily arrange guided hikes in La Fortuna. Additionally, you can relax in the natural hot springs, rappel down waterfalls of simply swim in them, explore the hanging bridges, go white-water rafting on the river, … Or like tomorrow, take a stunning canopy tour.
Day 5
Today is a very exciting day! We will take a Sky Trek and Sky Tram tour. Each tour will give you a great view of the tropical rainforest below. Check out the Ziplines as you fly through the forest and experience a great thrill. The sky tram is a little slower than a zipline, which makes it perfect for those who want to spot wildlife and take in the beauty of the forest.
Day 6
Time to head from Arenal to the fabled Monteverde! Day 6 starts off with The El Trapiche tour through a coffee farm. Tasting the Costa Rican blends is a great way to start the day!

The next day in Monteverde Includes the tour of Santa Elena Nature Reserve. The best part of Monteverde are the foggy, mysterious cloud forests. Thanks to the humid climate, you won’t see so much beautiful nature anywhere else. Hike with a guide for the best chance to spot wildlife and discover the magical cloud forest up close. You can learn all about the natural surroundings and rainforest plants. You can take guided tours as well as solo walks through the forest!
