The staff at the lodge embraces sustainable culture day in and day out. The GreenLagoon Lodge has created a Bio-Digestor and an organic Tilapia farm. Other sustainable projects are using the Bio-Digestor and Bio Garden to purify and recycle the soapy and greasy waters from the restaurant and showers. Through these efforts, Green Lagoon Lodge has earned a 4 level Certificate of Sustainable Tourism.
Sky Walk consists of trails and 5 suspension bridges for a more relaxing introduction of the flora and fauna of the forest canopy. The 2.2 mile (3.6 kilometer) long trail gives you a vision of the forest from a different perspective. You will start on the ground and then walk up to explore the treetops. Here you will witness a hardly discovered habitat called the “canopy”. 90% of organisms in the forest are on the top of the trees, through which you will be walking! This truly is a relaxed way to appreciate Costa Rica’s magnificent biodiversity!

The 2 hour hike takes you through the trails at Club Rio where you will experience a Gallery Rainforest. You could see different species of birds, as well as frogs and capuchin monkeys.
– Rock Wall Climbing
Develop your physical and mental strength! The climbing walls are 50 yards (15 meters) high and offer different routes as well as various difficulty levels. Harnesses, helmets and climbing shoes are provided. No prior experience is necessary. NOTE: Minimum age 7 years.
