Hotel Arenal Lodge located just 3.5 hours from San José. It sits less than a mile from the shores of Lake Arenal. Windsurfers and fishers travel from all over the world. The Arenal Lodge offers fifty well-furnished rooms, two swimming pools- one conventional, one natural, a restaurant, Jacuzzis, a playroom for children, and a steam bath. The Lodge also maintains inventory for the anglers that join them as guests. Several fishing boats and all of the associated gear required are available on site and can be arranged for at any time. Bikes are available for rent, and there is a free shuttle to major nearby destinations several times a day.

Sky Walk consists of trails and 5 suspension bridges for a more relaxing introduction of the flora and fauna of the forest canopy. The 2.2 mile (3.6 kilometer) long trail gives you a vision of the forest from a different perspective. You will start on the ground and then walk up to explore the treetops. Here you will witness a hardly discovered habitat called the “canopy”. 90% of organisms in the forest are on the top of the trees, through which you will be walking! This truly is a relaxed way to appreciate Costa Rica’s magnificent biodiversity!

Fish for the famous rainbow bass which can only be caught in Lake Arenal! Lake Arenal also has another hard-fighting fish called machaca, which looks like a pirhana on steroids with its rows of razor sharp teeth. Capt.
