There are three types of accommodations to choose from in the Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge. The Junior Suites offer the best views over the rainforest. Set as two interconnecting bungalows, they are perfect for larger groups and families. There is a screen porch that is just right for relaxing at the end of an adventurous day. Fully equipped and furnished elegantly with fine wood furniture. Also included are an extra sofa bed and a fridge hidden away in a wooden chest.
In Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge they have a queen and single beds protected by mosquito nets, hot water, safe deposit box and lots of storage space. Too you can chill out as you rock gently in the hammock and feel the jungle breeze gently cooling you. The Honeymoon suites offer a delightful and intimate atmosphere. The suite is hidden away amongst green vegetation. Enjoy total bliss and comfort in the natural harmony and beauty only Nature can provide. They also come tastefully furnished, with a queen bed, mosquito net, ceiling fan, a mini bar, and fridge. Hammocks are on the terrace to enjoy the wonders of the jungle.
The De Luxe Bungalows, each with their private gardens, are specially designed for a full appreciation of the beauty of the surroundings while enjoying superior comfort. Considered to be one of the wonders of the world, Corcovado holds 13 major ecosystems, beach habitats, and coastal marine diversity. The abundance of flora and fauna overcomes everybody! Baird’s tapirs, jaguars, pumas, macaws, toucans, squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, capuchin monkeys, two-toed and three-toed sloths, agoutis, giant anteaters, coatimundis, peccaries (wild pigs), hummingbirds, black hawks, spectacled owls, 4 species of turtles (green, Ridley, hawksbill and leatherback), crocodiles, snakes, lizards, golden-orb spiders, numerous types of butterflies, and various insects are calling Corcovado their home and the list goes on!
Be prepared for a wet landing at San Pedrillo ranger station. The trails snake along pristine beaches into a deep rainforest. Your guide will lead you to magnificent waterfalls and swimming holes! Usually, two hikes separated by a picnic lunch break are part of this tour. The first one in the morning is approximately three and half hours long. Pointing out various wildlife to you, your guide will explain to you the different habitats and answer all your questions. The afternoon hike is normally a bit shorter featuring an ascent to a waterfall, where you will be able to take a refreshing swim!
During the entire tour, please take CAUTION while staying on the trails and listening to your guides! Always be aware of your surroundings! It is not recommended to go behind the waterfall.
