Getting to the Rios Tropicales Lodge is generally accomplished by raft. Guests can begin their journey in either San Jose or from the Caribbean beach towns. Once at the Lodge there are many activities that can be incorporated into your stay including zip lines, visits to local communities and bird watching! When guests are ready to leave this paradise, they can raft out and then get shuttled to San Jose, the Caribbean or the Arenal, La Fortuna area. While at the Lodge all meals are included and guests enjoy healthy meals made from delicious local ingredients. Every afternoon there is a cocktail hour where travelers gather together for punch or a cocktail while the sun sets.

Are you ready for your adventure on Pacuare River, one of the top five rafting rivers in the world? This 18 mile (29 kilometers) long run includes 52 rapids! You will have a safety briefing and get equipped before you are going to test your new skills and gain confidence on the first few miles / kilometers. In between some wild rapids, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the views on Huacas waterfall and to observe some bird species.

What to bring: Sunscreen, rubber soled shoes that can get wet, swimsuit and shorts of a quick-drying material, t-shirt (optional), towel, complete change of clothes for after rafting, insect repellant, some money to buy photos, souvenirs or drinks. All luggage will be kept in lockers.
