Punta Caracol Acqua Lodge
Punta Caracol Acqua Lodge, in Bocas del Toro, Panama, fixed to Colon Island by a wooden deck at a coastal point removed from the outside world. Colon Island is home to beautiful tropical beaches. Furthermore you will find trails for mountain biking across the island, and the capital of Bocas del Toro, Bocas Town. There’s Bluff Beach, liked by surfers and sunbathers for its waves and golden sands; Boca del Drago offers shallow snorkeling for coral and starfish. Swan Cay, a small marine preserve for birds cut off from Colon Island’s northern tip, has good spots with plenty of fish to snorkel with.
Acqua Eco Lodge
The Acqua Eco Lodge features several beautiful and romantic bungalows above the crystal clear, blue ocean. Only accessible by boat, the lodge is surrounded by Caribbean marine life and reefs. Punta Caracol runs on solar electricity, which means dim lighting and no AC; the room fans run on a timer. Each palm leaf roof bungalow’s upheld by stilts poking through the ocean surface. Their bungalows line up to allow views towards the sunset, vast blue water, and tall green mountains. Ocean bungalows furthest to the restaurant are silent and more relaxing but over deeper water.
Activities
Patrons wake up early in the morning to nothing more than the vast sea and its beauty. Sunny days are spent snorkeling, sunbathing, kayaking, swimming around bungalows or watching barracudas under the dock. Clear night skies are lit up by stars and an ocean glowing with marine life. When it rains, other than reading a good book or having a chat and a pina colada, there is nothing much left to do. Punta Caracol is not the place for any night life; its charm lies with the fact that you can snorkel from your bungalow deck.
