Costa Rica Classic Birding Package Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1:

Today you start your birding trip in Costa Rica. We will pick you up at the Liberia airport and guide you to your hotel. Check into the Arenal Observatory lodge. And spend a great night before your next day full of tours.

Day 2:

The Arenal Birding tour is one of kind, see so many different species of birds and have a blast taking as many pictures as you can.

Day 3:

You will make your way to Monteverde, a gorgeous part of the country. This area holds one of the most beautiful cloud forests. The national park has taken such care of the region to make it as friendly for wildlife. You will stay at the Trapp Family Lodge while in Monteverde.

Day 4:

On your day spent in Monteverde, we will take you on a Night hike. This trek through the rainforest is something else. It will let you see the forest come alive as all the nocturnal animals come out to play.

Day 5:

Today’s tour is to Santa Elena Reserve, during this day tour a naturalist guide will help you through the cloud forest pointing out animal species and give you the best view of Flora and Fauna.

Day 6:

We will now make our way to Papagayo a breathtaking beach destination. Once there you will stay at Riu Guanacaste for the next days.

Day 7:

Take a boat tour through the stunning Palo Verde National Park and spot water birds as well as crocodiles, caimans and monkeys!

Day 8:

Enjoy a free day here in Guanacaste and lounge at your stunning resort or visit the beaches. Perhaps you would like to take one of the many tours in this area like horseback riding, ATV tour, mountain biking, paddle boarding, fishing, and more!

Day 9:

Relax a bit on your last day as we go on the sunset crews on the Marlin Del Rey. This crew takes you along the coast and gives you a great time to relax and have a cold drink on board.

Day 10:

Although your trip is about to end that doesn’t mean its to late to start planning for another trip to Costa Rica. We will take you back to the airport and send you off on your flight home.
