Day to Day Itinerary
This package includes some of Costa Rica’s most iconic destinations for the travelers who prefers to keep some freedom in their itinerary. We provide you with tours in the stunning Tortuguero, and Manuel Antonio, but you can choose your own activities at Puerto Viejo, Arenal and Monteverde. Have a look!
Day 1
Welcome to Costa Rica! We will be meeting you at the San Jose Airport with your customized welcome package in hand. Your first transfer will take you to the Adventure Inn, only 10 minutes from the airport. Rest and relax in the comfortable rooms decorated by local artists.
Day 2
Time to head to our first coastal destination, Puerto Viejo! You will be staying at Villas de Caribe. This beach has the best location you could wish for, right at the beach. Enjoy!
Day 3
Enjoy a free day in Puerto Viejo! This Caribbean gem is perfect for those looking to lounge on stunning beaches and get a taste of the Caribbean lifestyle. Visit the beautiful Playa Cocles and indulge in local dishes and drinks. Did you know that in the Caribbean they flavor all of their rice dishes with coconut? Try it!
Day 4
Time to head to Tortuguero! This charming little Caribbean community will welcome you with open arms. Upon arrival you will be taking the Tortuguero town tour and get a real feel for the Caribbean culture. Bring your camera! You will be staying at Mawamba Lodge for the next two nights. Make sure to enjoy a dinner at their floating restaurant!
Day 5
Enjoy your Tortuguero Canals Tour! The boat will take you through the vast network of Tortuguero canals while your guide will point out a large variety of wildlife. Spot monkeys, birds, crocodiles and of course turtles!
Day 6
Today you will be heading to your most iconic destination yet, the Arenal Volcano. Check into Los Lagos Resort & Spa with its beautiful outdoor area of 1050 acres of tropical forest and wide landscapes and relaxing hot springs.
Day 7
Day 7Take a free day! Arenal may be known for its adrenaline filled activities like zip lining and rafting, but is also an ideal destination for those looking to unwind. Visit the natural hot springs, take a refreshing plunge into the Fortuna Waterfall of explore the mystical Hanging Bridges.
Day 8
Time to head to the fabled Monteverde and check into the Trapp Family Lodge. The Cloud Forest is a fascinating thing to behold and great to explore by taking one of the many self-guided tours. Take your time and get a real feel for this natural phenomenon! Are you up for something a little bit more action packed? Then ride the longest zip-line In Latin America, complete with Tarzan Swing!
Day 9
Are you ready for the next coast? Head to Costa Rica’s Pacific and stay at what has been dubbed Costa Rica’s most beautiful beach! Manuel Antonio has a lot to offer for any type of traveler from natural beauty to thrilling tours. Check into Karahe for a stay right by this beautiful coast!
Day 10
Day 10 is free for you to fill in as you wish! Take some time to relax at these stunning beaches or try your hand at surfing, horseback riding, zip-lining or even parasailing!
Day 11
You can’t visit Manuel Antonio without spending a day exploring the national park. It may be Costa Rica’s smallest park, but it more than makes up for that with biodiversity. Spot sloths, monkeys, birds, and more! A perfect end to a perfect trip!
Day 12-13
It is time to head back to San Jose for a final night at the Adventure Inn before heading back home tomorrow!. We hope you enjoyed you Costa Rica vacation and can’t wait to welcome you back to this beautiful country!
